Situated in the Northeast sector of Algonquin Provincial Park, accessed through the Sand Lake gate, this gem is suitable for the novice, but the grandeur and beauty attracts all level of canoe and tripping enthusiasts. One of the main geographic features is the famous Barron River Canyon, a 100 m high gorge. You will experience paddling the gorge and walking the Barron Canyon Trail atop the North side of the gorge .
