INSTRUCTION
We provide structured skill development training primarily based upon the Ontario Recreational Canoeing and Kayaking Association (ORCKA) program. We provide these services to:
- Individuals (private or small group instruction)
- Organized Groups ( Youth groups, schools, clubs)
- Outfitting Companies
We also offer customized training and coaching to develop the skills of recreational paddlers and to enhance their sense of comfort with wilderness travel. Our services are for:
- Novices
- Intermediate level
- Expert level
GUIDING
We also provide guiding services. These services can include:
- Research and planning of a wilderness trip
- Provision of expert guide and safety services on group planned excursions.
Discover Paddling is a small company. Essentially consisting of two instructors and guides who are best of friends sharing identical philosophies and approaches, we combine our talents and resources to ensure that client needs are best satisfied and that small instructor/student ratios are maintained.
As a mature paddler myself, I find that I like to take more time enjoying the tripping experience as opposed to simply reaching a daily mileage goal or target campsite. We believe in flexibility and thus structure our services to meet the individual needs of those that would like to experience paddling and tripping in a similar way.
