The Western most of three popular Quebec rivers flowing into the Ottawa River, the Dumoine River is the most frequented by trippers. It flows out of the Lac Machin in La Verendrye Provincial Park and enters the Ottawa River just across from Drfitwood Provincial Park, upstream of Rolphton, Ontario, on Highway 17. We have two options for this trip. The normal trip will start with a shuttle from Driftwood Provincial Park to Bridge Rapids above Lac Benoit. A more expensive option starts with a float plane fly-in to Lac Benoit, a favorite aspect of the trip for many. This river is suitable for novice level paddlers and trippers.
